Well the youth staff at RHCC heard a speaker not too long ago and he challanged us with some thoughts to serve those around us in our community. So Today March 26 the 7 of us youth staff served the staff of Chick-Fil-A. We thought that it would not be that big of a task and when we thought of the idea we thought oh really how many can we really have come to a lunch that we make for them. Well to our surprise we had about 115 people there. there is only 32 on staff at CFA but we told them to bring there families and to bring there kids. we would have no strings attached and have no speaking about the church it would just be a lunch where we would serve them and not ask for anything in return. We had a great time. Hatchett and I started early in the moring. He agreed to make the fijtas and i made the pico de gago. We had some good talks and had some good bonding. There were quite a bit of people in the kitchen cause there was another group using the kitchen to make a potluck for there class they were having. It was cool to get to serve them like we did but i made a mistake that i am still paying for. I cut the peppers up and my hand is still burning. It burns really bad. But hopefully it will go away soon. I thought the salsa was really hot but everyone seemed to enjoy it. It went really fast today and there was not any left at the end of the day. They all loved the fijtas we made for them and it was really good. The kids loved to play in the gameroom and they all had a great time. It was really cool today serving with my fellow coworkers. It was a really neat experience and i learned alot from it. Serving is a great thing for the soul!
